We haven’t really been hearing as much from Ukraine/Russia in the past couple of weeks as the war continues to rage on but everyone who was virtue signalling about it originally ended up getting distracted by the Will Smith/Chris Rock slap or the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial.

Thankfully though, some hackers – presumably from Anonymous – have decided to embarrass Putin again by hacking the Russian TV listings to read as a list of his war crimes rather than the actual program summaries. To make matters worse, this has happened on ‘Victory Day’ – that’s a national holiday over in Russia to celebrate their victory over Nazi Germany back in World War II.
It’s unsure just how many channels were affected, but it’s thought that at least four major television providers were hacked so most of the TVs in Russia could have been compromised. The messages that were broadcast during the Red Square military parade and hit TV show Masha and the bear include ‘On your hands is the blood of thousands of Ukrainians and their hundreds of murdered children’ and ‘TV and the authorities are lying. No to war.’
Not holding back there really are they? But I suppose you can’t really blame them can you?
Olga Ivanova, a customer of state-owned NTV Plus said the following about the hack:
The same s*** is happening there on every channel. It is not on all MTS channels but on many for several hours.
I switched on the TV at 7am, it was already like that, and stopped only at 11.
Geez. That’s pretty embarrassing for Putin right there isn’t it, especially as he clearly makes it out like Russia is the most powerful outcry in the world but they’re being constantly undermined and embarrassed during this war. It sadly doesn’t seem like he’s going to back out of his invasion of Ukraine any time soon though. Prick.
For more of the same, check out when Anonymous hacked Russian TV to show footage of the front line over in Ukraine. Even better than this one to be hones.t
