What a load of Фигня! (That’s Russian for BS – cheers Google Translate). 23-year-old literature teacher Viktoria Kashirina was indeed sacked over this footage, which one of her snitch students found on Instagram and showed to their mum, who in turn alerted the school.
As per CBS, Viktoria argued that the video was simply an artistic side project, but the school called it “immoral behaviour” and gave her the pink slip. Viktoria says her students, ages 11 to 12, liked her and said she was their “favorite teacher” (not hard to believe) and is considering suing the school for unfair dismissal.
The student’s mother demanded that I close the account. I refused, and in the end, I blocked both the daughter and the mother. But it was already too late. In the morning, the director wrote and demanded that I remove the video, but the video itself was already widely shared among the parents.
Now it’s always weird seeing your school teacher living their life outside the classroom, but is finding a video of them getting freakly online a sackable offence? Probably not the smartest move putting it on her personal IG account, but then I guess you could argue it’s educational content, in some sense?
Besides, it’s nowhere near as bad as some of the other horrific student/teacher stories we’ve featured on this site over the years. Reinstate Viktoria Kashirina ASAP!
