It’s all kicking off in Romania at the moment.

Up to 100,000 Romanians (including expats who have flown back purely to join the protests) are gathered in Bucharest for a massive anti-government rally. They’re unhappy with the left-wing Social Democratic Party (PSD) and its leader, Liviu Dragnea, accusing him of corruption and skewing the country’s laws to sort out his own legal troubles.

The government is responding with a brutal show of force, sending out riot police to get physical with the protesters. It’s hardly a one-sided fight however, as evidenced by this protester who fly-kicked a cop so hard that his helmet went flying off his head:

Oof. He better hope that cop’s mates didn’t catch up with him once the video cut out because he was in for a world of trouble. To be fair it was a total dick move on the protester’s part considering he’d just lobbed something at them and was allowed to run off relatively unscathed. I guess he saw his opportunity for a flying Sparta Kick and couldn’t resist.
