Double Act Productions are hoping to fix family and relationship issues by getting the contestants to share their problems with a talking android – dubbed the robotic Jeremy Kyle – which will solve the problem using technology.
The casting producer Kieran McCarthy is allegedly already contacting celebrity agents across the country, asking for people to appear on the show. One agent said:
I wouldn’t mind representing the robot, as unlike human hosts it would hopefully be happy with any deal I could fix.
It sounds like it’ll be fascinating daytime TV. Jeremy Kyle needs to keep looking over his shoulder, as artificial intelligence could be the future.

Meanwhile, a producers’ note to agents said:
I wanted to share this exciting TV opportunity to see if there may be people within your group who may be interested.

It’s not clear which channel will be featuring the show, but one thing’s for sure – Jeremy Kyle has got stiff competition and it’s not an easy thing competing with artificial intelligence. It looks like the AI takeover is coming.
Then again, I don’t know if it’s possible for a robot to bring as much comedic value to a show as Jeremy Kyle does. The guy just doesn’t quit.
