Pretty bold move by Rishi Sunak to do a live Q&A session with a GB News audience last night, where inevitably some guy got up and started shouting at the Prime Minister about having an adverse reaction to the COVID vaccine.
Here’s how that went down:
‘I want you to look into my eyes Rishi Sunak and I want you to look at the pain, the trauma and the regret I have in my eyes.’

Good thing the host intervened when he did because I was sure the Scottish guy was about to go full Braveheart on Rishi Sunak. For what it’s worth, here’s an article from the Scottish Daily Express on John’s experience with the vaccine:
FIY he also featured in a Glasgow Times news story back in 2018, not for anything to do with COVID or the vaccine though:
Obviously that’s not to discredit the man’s claim of suffering a vaccine injury as a small percentage of people will have done, but it’s just a bit of background on the guy. It’s also worth noting that John Watt is a well-known to GB News and not just a random audience member. He had previously featured on the channel with host Mark Steyn before Steyn was fired due to persistent misinformation breaches.
I guess the only proper response here is to campaign for adequate compensation for victims. They are only perceived as crazy people when they start making wider and inaccurate claims beyond their personal negative experience, like claiming it’s a government conspiracy or that they’re being silenced (as they literally get to ask the Prime Minister about it on live TV). I’m sure Rishi Sunak will do his best to make everyone happy and sort the situation out (yeah, right), and also never do a live GB News Q&A ever again.
