The success of Baby Reindeer on Netflix seems to have turned Richard Gadd into one of the most in-demand names on the circuit, with the 35-year-old now lined up for a huge role in the next instalment of the Jurassic World franchise.

Have the T-rexes and velociraptors evolved from opening doors to sending vicious e-mails and text messages? If so, Richard Gadd would be the perfect man for the job given his experience in the field. Otherwise it does seem like a surprise appointment, although Richard Gadd did show he has serious acting chops in parts of Baby Reindeer.

According to ComingSoon.net, Gadd is set to star alongside Tobin Bell, Mehcad Brooks, Joel McHale and Oliver Jackson-Cohen in a new film for the franchise. That’s a lot of young dudes – maybe the plot will involve some kind of military operation to take the dinosaurs down?

Tobin Bell is the most intriguing casting choice. Just a top level actor with serious on-screen presence that makes you want to listen to everything he says. Maybe he’ll set up some SAW-style traps for the raptors, or oppositely, trap Richard Gadd in a bathroom with a T-rex? Now that’s something you know Fiona Harvey would love to see.

Little else is known about the fourth instalment of Jurassic Park thus far, aside from that Scarlett Johansson may also be starring.

Filming begins in Thailand this June, with the film due to be released in July 2025.
