I’m not really sure what Rachel Bilson has been doing since she starred in ‘The O.C’ about two decades ago, but I can tell you one thing that she definitely hasn’t been doing and that’s having a lot of orgasms.

For some reason, the woman who played Summer Roberts decided to go on the ‘Broad Ideas’ podcast with stand up comedian Whitney Cummings – yes I see what she’s done there – and talk about her sex life, revealing that she never had an orgasm from penetrative sex until the age of 38. Here’s what she had to say about it:

I had my first orgasm when I was 38.

Of course I’ve had one in other ways, but not from, like dxck inside.

I often hear a lot of women say they don’t orgasm from sex until after they have a kid.

Eh, you know what that does sound kind of shocking from the headline, but I’ve heard a bunch of girls say that they find it incredibly difficult to orgasm from penetrative sex and can only really do so from oral or digital stimulation instead. Fair play to Rachel Bilson for going out on her podcast and explaining that to people as I feel like it’s something that isn’t super well known and that people are embarrassed about talking about for obvious reasons.

What she’s saying is backed up by the International Academy of Sex Research, who recently found that only 65 percent of women usually reach orgasm during intercourse compared with 95 per cent of men. A study by Durex elaborated on this saying that 50% of women said they were more likely to orgasm through clitoral stimulation rather than vaginal penetration, so you can’t really argue with the facts. More people probably need to know that.

Anyway, another funny part about this is that Bilson dated Adam Brody and Hayden Christiansen before she was 38 and then started hooking up with Bill Hader, which is kind of awkward for everyone involved. Especially after she’s said before that she misses Hader’s big dick. Not hard to put two and two together there.
