QAnon continue to become more and more desperate with their ridiculous conspiracy theories after Trump didn’t show up with the US army at Joe Biden’s inauguration to assume the role of President and destroy the secret paedophile cabals, and now they seem to be convinced that Trump will be returning as President on March 4th.

Why? Well apparently the QAnon supporters have crossed over with another popular conspiracy theory over in the United States known as the sovereign citizen movement. This one posits that a law enacted in 1871 secretly turned the United States into a corporation and removed the government that had been established by the Founding Fathers. They also believe that President Franklin D. Roosevelt sold out US citizens in 1933 when he ended the gold standard and replaced it by offering citizens up to a shadowy group of foreign investors.
Sovereign citizenss now use indecipherable legal filings based on arcane texts to separate themselves from the legal entities that the government has supposedly created in their name in order to sell to investors. Makes a lot of sense right and I’m sure you understand it from what I’m saying, but hey I’m trying to summarise and it really is bonkers.
Anyway, the important part is that if it doesn’t work, then sovereigns have been know to get violent about their opinion, like the time a father and son team murdered two police officers with an assault rifles when they were pulled over in Arkansas back in May 2010. So you can see why QAnon might be interested in teaming up with this movement or boring from them.

Anyway, if that also sounds like it doesn’t really make any sense, then that’s probably because it doesn’t, so by proxy it makes sense that QAnon could repurpose some aspects of the theory to suit their own agenda, namely arguing that the 1871 act means that Trump will be inaugurated on March 4th. Again, if you’re wondering why that’s the case then it’s because 1933 was the year that the inauguration was moved from March 4th to January 20th – ‘allegedly’ to shorten the period where a sitting President was in office and not really doing anything – and so Trump will be becoming the President of the original Republic and not the corporation that was secretly created in 1871 on March 4th.
Again, that sounds like it’s completely and utterly ridiculous to me and makes absolutely no sense and definitely won’t happen, but apparently the rumour has been spreading around Telegram and Gab and TikTok massively all over the weekend. Basically all this means is that QAnon doesn’t seem like it’s going away anytime soon and are going to get even stupider in the future. I would think that this was funny, but we all saw what happened on Capitol Hill so it’s probably better to acknowledge how dangerous this could be in the future instead. Stay vigilant out there.
