Atlanta rappers Young Thug & Gunna are facing a long stint behind bars after being hit with several RICO charges including murder, attempted murder, bribery, selling drugs, hiring hitmen to murder people, and lots more legally and morally suspect activity.

Not only have Young Thug & Gunna incriminated themselves in their lyrics over the years, they were also dumb enough to release tracks while under investigation saying things like “f**k the judge”, “f**k the police” and so on. Unfortunately for them, prosecutors decided to read these lyrics out in court in front of the judge just as he was about to decide whether to grant these two chaps bail:

As you might imagine, the judge didn’t appreciate being dissed in tracks like ‘Slime Sh*t’ and ‘Take It To Trial’, and promptly denied bail to the two rappers, who are facing 20+ years in prison. The charges brought against them are the result of a 9-year investigation, during which they’ve done themselves no favours in not only providing details about their crimes in their music, but also mocking the judge who literally has their fate in his hands.

It’s pretty amazing that their lyrics are even admissible as evidence in court, but some of the detail in their raps literally alludes to details in the crimes they’re being accused of committing, and so the judge said it’s fair game. How did Young Thug & Gunna not see this coming?
