I haven’t really been following the Gwyneth Paltrow ski accident trial too closely – from what I can tell she skiied into Dr Teddy Sanderson back in 2016 and he’s now suing her for $300,000 after he suffered significant injuries – but this clip went viral over the weekend and was too funny/weird not to share with you all.

Basically, Paltrow was cross examined by prosector Kristin Van Orman about aspects of her testimony and she dropped in a few really awkward lines where she sorta complimented Paltrow and kinda seemed like she was flirting with her. Obviously this was a technique to lull her into a false sense of security so that she might slip up, but The Washington Post decided to edit them all into a supercut that basically looks like it’s some lesbian romantic comedy in a courtroom setting.
Get a load of this:

That really is a great video and very cleverly edited by the guys at The Washington Post, but it’s also important to remember that they couldn’t have cut it like that if these weird moments weren’t actually happening in the trial. It hasn’t quite reached the levels of Johnny Depp/Amber Heard, but you can expect a few more weird and stupid moments before its conclusion. Then I assume following it’s conclusion Gwyneth and Kristin will probably go on a coffee date together.
BONUS CONTENT: there was also another really weird part where Van Orman mentioned Taylor Swift that doesn’t really seem to make any sense too:

What’s that got to do with anything? Probably better if we never look into it and just think of it as another dumb memeable moment from the trial, but Van Ormin was trying to prove something with it if you want to look it up. Not really worth the effort and best just to leave it like that though if you ask me.
For more of the same, check out when Gwyneth was rinsed for wearing Jeffrey Dahmer’s glasses in court. Yeah that wasn’t a good look either.
