Prince Andrew boldly claimed in that infamous BBC interview that he has a medical condition that prevents him from sweating, but it turns out he has no problem crying if these new reports are anything to go by.
The Duke of York was said to be ‘utterly devastated’ and ‘in tears’ after the Queen informed him he was being stripped of his military titles and remaining patronages, as Virginia Giuffre’s case against him progresses to the trial stage.
Giuffre claims she was forced to have sex with Andrew three times after being trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew’s bid to have the case thrown out was rejected, and so now I guess the Royals have to do damage control. Still, not something the Queen would do if she actually thought he was innocent, right?
A defence source told The Times that Andrew’s ousting had been greeted by a huge sigh of relief as he had become ‘a bloody embarrassment’:
The Prince was tearful when told the news even though he had expected it. He feels that he has let so many people down, not least his mother, during her Platinum Jubilee year.
Andrew, who spent 21 years in the navy, is now no longer Colonel of the Grenadier Guards – one of the most senior infantry regiments in the British Army, and has also been forced to drop his HRH style as he faces life as a private citizen. Next stop – Jobseekers? Oh well, at least he’s still got his Pizza Express Loyalty Card (presumably).
His titles will now have to be distributed among the remaining members of the family, which will be even more difficult now since Prince Harry’s decision to step away from royal life, meaning he also relinquished his positions. A lot of people are calling the Queen’s treatment of Andrew ‘ruthless’, but I’m not really sure she has much choice. I mean it’s all been downhill for him and the Royals ever since his insane performance on Newsnight in 2019:

The guy is so disconnected from common people that he actually thought he could go on the News and convince the world he was innocent. Oh well, should be interesting to see how the trial plays out and what happens next with Andrew. He seems utterly screwed from where I’m sitting though.
