I’m not sure why a man of the cloth would go to hell unless he was touching the altar boys or something, but nonetheless Michigan pastor Gerald Johnson insists he died in 2016 after suffering a heart attack, and what he saw—and more specifically, heard—was horrifying.

Not only did Johnson see terrible, gruesome sights of torture and pain, he also entered a section of hell where demonic covers of popular songs were sung on an endless loop, including the old Rihanna classic ‘Umbrella’. I’ll let Pastor Johnson explain in more detail:

@geraldajohnson1 My experience when I saw hell in February 2016. I’ll never be the same after that. #hell #jesus #unforgiveness #forgive #godsaid #encouragement #geraldajohnson #jesuslovesyou #moveforward ♬ original sound – Gerald Johnson

“I thought I did so much good during my life and that I helped so many people, but even so, I went down [to Hell].

I entered the very center of the Earth. The things I saw there are indescribable. It brings up so many difficult feelings when I talk about it. I was there and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I don’t care what he did to me. No one deserves that.

Every word of every song was made to torture you for the fact that you didn’t worship God through music while you were on Earth.”

Seems pretty odd that a song about being there for your best friend/lover would be on hell’s playlist, but I guess we’ve just got to take Pastor Johnson’s word for it. Can you imagine a whole chorus of demons chanting the “ehh, ehh, ehh” part? He also says the demons were singing Bob Marley’s ‘Don’t Worry, Be Happy’… maybe they were just trying to be friendly?

Then again, it’s not the demons themselves being tortured, so maybe they’re just living their best lives while torturing the sinners and belting out pop tunes as they do it? That’s the only way this makes sense tbh.
