We’re only into the second month of 2017 and we’ve already seen some absolutely unbelievable incidents. And it only seems to be getting worse with every single day, as proved by this recent story.

Reports are flying in of widespread chaos and rioting over in Paris after a police officer was caught on camera raping a black youth with a truncheon. The CCTV footage of the attack – which you can see below – has since gone viral leading to the protests in the French capital.

It’s pretty gross so if you don’t want to watch it then here’s what happened. Apparently the four police officers stopped the 22-year-old black man – who works as a youth officer – for a random identity check, before forcing the truncheon up his anal passage. He was apparently so severely injured that he’s still in hospital after undergoing an operation.

One officer has been charged with raping him whilst three others have been charged with ‘deliberate violence’. The officers argue that the man’s injuries are consistent with someone who fell over in an accident and ended up having the baton penetrate them because of that, but that honestly sounds like the flimsiest excuse ever. Can’t really see them getting out of this one, especially when the guy still has bloodstains and a severe wound where it happened despite his operation.

Unsurprisingly, the people of the district of Aulnay-sous-Bois were completely outraged about this and several riots and marches have occurred since the video went viral, including the police station getting vandalised. Footage of this can be seen below:

Geez. That’s not a good way to start the new year, especially with the French election coming up. I dread to think what else is going to go down this year. It seems like it’s going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better.
