If you were getting beat down by a violent mob in the middle of the road, you would probably be relieved to know that there was a police officer not just in the vicinity, but literally sitting in their car a few feet away from where you are getting pummeled to within an inch of your life.
Unfortunately, one female officer wasn’t much help during this incident in Miami, Florida recently, and has now been suspended after she blatantly ignored a mob of cyclists who attacked a driver in broad daylight:

According to NBC6, the victim had already had a confrontation with a biker when he pulled up in front of the police car, and got out to talk to the officer about it.
While heading back to his vehicle, more bikers started to surround the man, and within moments a whole swarm of them were beating the absolute hell out of him. All while the police officer chilled in her car and watched it happen!
Eventually, more police officers turned up and assisted in the situation, and only then did the female officer decide to get out of her car and become involved. So I guess she was just scared to deal with the fight by herself? Even though all she would have had to do was roll down the window and fire a couple shots into the sky and everyone would have dispersed. Although, to be fair, I’m not sure if you’re allowed to that as a police officer, but it might’ve been a better idea than just sitting there and doing nothing.
The craziest part about it is that this gang didn’t care whatsoever that there was a police officer literally sat there watching the whole thing, because apparently they knew nothing would happen to them. Currently, the incident is ‘under investigation’ and it’s ‘unclear’ whether anyone has been arrested. The condition of the victim is also ‘unknown’. Great work, everybody!
Miami Police Chief Manual Morales confirmed the officer has been relieved of duty pending the investigation:
‘The members of the Miami Police Department understand and take great pride in upholding their responsibility to protect and serve our community.
‘We must act for the betterment of our community.’
