Ross from Friends is definitely one of the most well known fictional characters – there’s even a DJ who uses that moniker FFS – so it’s not really surprising that when somebody looks like him they’re going to get absolutely trolled about it.

Or in this scenario, the police are going to get completely trolled. Less than 24 hours ago the Blackpool Police department posted a picture of a man they suspected in relation to a theft at a Blackpool restaurant on September 20th and the people of the internet duly responded by saying he looked like David Schwimmer and filling the comments with a bunch of Friends quotes. Gotta love the internet:

Of course, this isn’t very useful but you have got to respect the fact that so many people shared it means that loads more people will see it and this guy might actually get caught, which kinda makes it perversely useful despite the fact everyone is just trolling. Awesome.

The police themselves even got involved with a reply as well which was kinda funny and you’ve gotta rate them for too:

Nice, although I bet they didn’t actually check on David Schwimmer’s whereabouts. Like it would be that easy for the Blackpool Police to just check in on the location of a famous Hollywood actor. Gimme a break.
