Pizza is many things – delicious, filling, wacky, the perfect takeout food – but I’ve never really considered it an art form before, except perhaps when I was really really stoned that is.
Domenico Crolla has sought to change my mind though with his incredible pizza art, normally revolving around portraits of famous people made from a cheese and tomato topping. Although at first glance on here it looks like the tomato and cheese has just been stencilled through onto the pizza, I’m assured that if you see them in the flesh you can see that the pizza has actually been hand crafted and baked this way, which makes it way more impressive.
The only problem is that cheese and tomato is easily the most boring flavour of pizza, but on the flip side I guess you can just hang it up one wall and admire it until it goes stale and mouldy.
