Piers Morgan is not the most subtle of people, but I don’t think anyone expected him to actually threaten to kill a young teenager’s cat live on TV.

To be fair, he did sort of have a reason. On today’s episode of ‘Good Morning Britain’ he was speaking to 12-year-old trophy hunter, Aryanna Gourdin, who has a sadistic hobby where she kills animals for fun and then takes savage selfies with them once she’s done.

Still, Piers has come under fire because he was essentially trying to get a reaction out of the pre-teen while interviewing her, by discussing murdering her cat in the same way she murders giraffes, wilder beasts and antelope.

I mean, he does have a point. It’s kind of messed up that anyone would think it’s cool to hunt and kill one species of animal, but then love and cherish another. Speciesism is a thing you know. Plus that father/daughter duo seem super smug and annoying.
But still, I don’t think Piers has gone about it the right way. Little tip – adults aren’t supposed to threaten to kill kids’ pets no matter what the situation. I wonder if he’ll get ripped apart like he did for slut shaming Kim Kardashian and Emily Ratajkowski? Probably.
