It’s hard to remember that Piers Morgan was somewhat of a national hero during the pandemic as he seemed to be the only news presenter who was prepared to hold the government to account for their incompetence and contradictory statements that they were constantly pedalling during it.

Obviously we all know that Morgan was back to his usual self after his criticism of Meghan Markle’s mental health led to his sacking from ITV, but it wasn’t going to be too long until he let rip into his old nemesis Hancock after he announced his appearance on ‘I’m A Celebrity’. Morgan was speaking on his Uncensored show last night where he completely destroyed Hancock during a three minute rant which left no prisoners.

Few politicians in modern history have failed harder and more often than Matt Hancock.

Hancock is an attention-seeking, perma-grinning, gopher of a man who will now Morgan spend several weeks in a jungle in Australia, pocketing a massive fee on top of his MP’s salary, eating kangaroo testicles for public delectation.

I never thought I’d say this, but I actually feel sorry for the kangaroo testicles.

I may shock you now, Mr Hancock, because I’m actually glad you’re going to a remote, tarantula-infested jungle on the other side of the world.

On behalf of the entire British public, I think I’m safe in saying, I hope you stay there.

Ouch. I’m no fan of Piers Morgan, but you have to admit when he wants to completely and utterly rip someone without a chance of them coming up with a defence for their actions then there aren’t too many better in the game. Hancock was completely murdered there and he hasn’t even gone into the jungle yet.

Still can’t believe Hancock could actively think that this was a good idea or that nobody on his team managed convince him how bad it would be for him. Guy is too stubborn to admit that he was wrong and pull out though of course. Suppose that’s typical of all Tories at the moment though isn’t it?
