I think everyone in this country probably thought the same thing earlier this year when James Corden announced that he was going to be leaving his gig as a late night talk show host over in America: that he might be returning to these shores to massively annoy everyone even further.

I’m not sure if Corden has indicated his intentions at this point regarding his career, but one person has decided to get ahead of the curve by starting a petition to prevent him from returning to the UK. Here’s what the petition has to say:

Eight years ago, James Corden left the UK for the US to work on The Late Show.

Since then, we’ve had to collectively deal with the impact of the Tory government, Brexit and Covid-19.

But throughout, there was that slight beacon of hope and that was the gaping, fat hole left by the comedy equivalent of prostate cancer; James Corden. The waddling turd in a three piece suit wasn’t here, on our soil and acting like the gargantuan twat that he is.

But now he’s leaving The Late Show and is returning to our British pastures. So I beg you, if you do one thing today, please, I implore you to sign this petition.

If he really has to return to the UK, can we stick him on some little uninhabited island off the coast of Scotland?

There’s just not enough cringe in this small country for him to induce.

So let’s try and keep in him in the States? Or send him to Ukraine so he can learn what it’s like to be a real man.

I’ve gotta agree with this to be honest. Although Corden has only said that he’s returning to the UK to be with his family, it seems inevitable that it won’t take too long for him to appear as a presenter on some Saturday night show or something and I don’t think anyone wants that do they given how much of a smug annoying prick he is right? Literally can’t stand the guy and it’s well documented that he’s a complete twat off screen as well, so there’s nothing good about the guy whatsoever. Seriously.
