The sex robot revolution is continuing to rumble on and whilst some us may think that even the idea of having sex with a robot is weird, it turns out that doing it may very well be beneficial to us in terms of our lovemaking abilities.

Matt McMullen is the creator of Realdoll, which he hopes to bring onto the market next year for £13,000. He’s said that because the robots will be pre-programmed with ninja like sex skills, that anyone who picks one up will consequently be taught how to do it and become a master of lovemaking like the robots:

Having sex with the robot is only going to help you with your skills.

It will get you to last longer in bed, try different positions and be more adventurous.

It’s going to be an amazing new experience that no one has ever had before.

We’re trying to create the desire to have sex beyond the physical. In order for people to find themselves attracted to the AI – she’s really funny, she makes me laugh, she has the same interests as me.

So then blokes want to take it to the next level – to give them that feeling – “I’d really like to have sex with her.’

Kinda sounds like McMullen has spent a bit too much time with his own sex robots there doesn’t it? Still, I suppose there are going to be a lot of people out there who actually are going to want to invest in these robots. I can’t really see it turning out well though and just strikes me as being completely and utterly weird. I guess we’ll see in a year or so’s time though.
