You haven’t really been able to go anywhere over the weekend without hearing about Gary Lineker being taken off Match Of The Day because he tweeted criticism of the government’s current migrant policy, so you would think that other prominent people working for the BBC might be a bit careful about what they put on their own respective social media accounts.

Not so with Alan Sugar – who has been cited loads of times this week as actually telling his followers to vote for Boris Johnson and attacking Jeremy Corbyn during the last election – who continued to tweet whatever he wanted whenever he wanted by saying the following about a recent episode of ‘The Apprentice’ where contestants had to design and market their own dog food:
I think the dog looked a bit sad as if he was going to appear in North Korea master chef. @bbcapprentice

Ooof. I suppose that is sort of correct as North Koreans do famously eat dog meat, but I can understand why some people have called out Alan Sugar for supposed racism in his tweet and are demanding that he be sacked after the way that the BBC had treated Lineker this week.
Here’s a few of the reactions:
Why isn’t Lord Sugar suspended for this?

Seems very political based Alan. How are u able to be political and be employed by the BBC???

Some casual racism but that’s OK wae @bbc

Bit of casual racism to end a Thursday night. Just waiting on Mordaunt, Sunak etc to call this one out, might be a long wait though

Ah just a little bit of casual racism to end the evening. Fantastic just make sure you don’t criticise the government . You’ll be fine.

The KING of causal racism 🙄

@BBC if you suspended Gary Lineker surely this is suspension worthy as well?

Yeah again I don’t really think that what Sugar said was that bad and probably doesn’t deserve a suspension or whatever, but you do have to question why nothing has happened to him and Gary Lineker gets the book thrown at him, essentially over the same issue. That’s the BBC though I guess.
For more of the same, check out when Alan Sugar got wasted and had a complete nightmare on Twitter. What a time to be alive.
