‘Back To The Future’ is probably one of the most beloved trilogies of all time and its position has been strengthened even further by Robert Zemeckis’ steadfast refusal to allow the material to be remade or rebooted.

But what about if the franchise created a new movie using original actors Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd? I don’t think anyone had really ever even considered that this might be a possibility, but Lloyd has been posting some cryptic stuff on Twitter which has made people think that Doc Brown and Marty McFly might be getting back together.

Whilst that was enough to send some people into overdrive – can you see how many people have liked those tweets? – I was pretty sceptical because I would have thought that there would be way more hype for a new ‘Back To The Future’ movie than a couple of tweets from Christopher Lloyd. sadly it looks like I was right.
Lloyd tweeted the following later which seems to be the announcement of a new ‘Back To The Future’ merch store:

Bummer. The link doesn’t seem to be working at the time of writing but I don’t think there’s anything else it can really be other than a shop to sell ‘Back To The Future’ merch? I guess that’s kind of cool but when everyone was saying that it might be a new ‘Back To The Future’ movie then there’s really no comparison, is there?
