We’ve covered a lot of weirdoes over the years here on Sick Chirpse, and whilst Tapas Sandilya definitely isn’t one of the strangest people we’ve talked about there’s definitely something up with the guy who just paid £2500 for a life like silicone replica of his wife over in India.

First up, let me say that I don’t think that £2500 sounds like that much money to produce something like that. Secondly, we should probably mention that it was actually his wife’s desire to be reimagined as a silicon doll after she found out that she was dying during the Coronavirus pandemic.

We had seen similar models to these in museums.
It was then Indrani had told me of her desire for a similar statue of her if she happened to pass away before me.
I just wanted to fulfil her wish.
It took artist Subimal Das six months to make it, but she now sits on her favourite spot on our sofa forever.
The model is wearing her favourite clothes and gold jewellery, as well as the saree that she wore to our son’s wedding reception.
That’s actually really sad and sweet and not freaky at all. I kind of assumed that the guy would be building a silicon version of her because she wasn’t doing the business for him in bed anymore or something like that but this isn’t the case at all and it’s actually a pretty heartbreaking tribute to the woman that he loved – albeit still slightly strange.
You’re OK with us though Tapas, although it does seem kinda sad that he’ll probably never get over his wife or remarry. Imagine coming home as his new girlfriend and seeing a life size model of his ex wife sitting on the couch. Awkward wouldn’t even begin to cut it.
Finally, I’ve again gotta reiterate that £2500 for a model of that quality that took almost six months to make is one hell of a price. Tapas must have got a deal or something. Mate’s rates.
