A crazed pensioner has had his mobility scooter seized by police after committing a hit and run assault into a shopper who bought the last pastry from a bakery.
Footage shows the man wielding his walking stick like a sword as he speeds down Mill Street, Devon, towards the man, causing him to fall over a shop sign:
The man who filmed the incident confirmed via Metro: ‘They were arguing because he had the last pasty from the bakery and bumped into him.’
Devon and Cornwall Police were able to identify the man involved, and were later pictured driving the mobility scooter away:
They said: ‘We attended an incident early today which led to us seizing a mobility scooter which one of our officers then had to ride back to the station. We have identified the owner but all other parties had already left prior to our arrival. We don’t currently have any victims that have come forward to us.’
Just another day of successful policing on the mean streets of Devon. You can’t have this OAP riding around on his mobility scooter and going on a GTA-style rampage around town, can you? Fair play to the police for acting quickly and confiscating this man’s weapon of mass destruction before he could do any more damage with it.
