… it looks like they’ve gone in a completely different direction for Paul Dano’s Riddler, and swapped the campy green spandex for this creepy hooded horror inspired by The Zodiac Killer…

Gulp! I have to say – that looks utterly terrifying. I’ve seen some complaints online that this isn’t true to the original and that you wouldn’t even know it was the Riddler, even with the giant ‘?’ on his jacket, but IMO, who cares? Judging by the vibe of the Batman trailer, this new look Riddler is right on the money.

Seems we’re getting a more detective story-style Batman movie with The Riddler as a Zodiac Killer type just going around and murdering people in Gotham City. Sounds pretty cool to me.

As for Colin Farrell as The Penguin, you already know that’s an early contender for best make-up at the Oscars in 2022. It literally just looks like some random shifty 60-year-old dude, not 45-year-old Colin Farrell playing a famous supervillain. Pretty amazing accomplishment there.
