If I genuinely thought that there was a possibility that my 15 year old son might be a paedophile, then I think that the number one way I would NOT choose to address the situation would be to go on a nationally syndicated talk show to talk about it, but it seems like the parents in the clip below have very different parenting ideas to myself.

There’s not really much else to say by way of an introduction to this clip, so we may as well just jump right in:
Geez. That’s pretty fucking harrowing isn’t it?
In fairness, the parents do come across as sensible and like they’re trying to help their son control his urges and protect their other children from him, but I’m just not really sure how they can help him with all of the stuff they’re saying and I’m not really sure why they want to share this awful story with the world either? I’m not sure if Dr Phil is ever the answer but it seems especially not so in these circumstances.
It’s also kinda weird that the mother (who’s actually his stepmother) seem to have taken the publicity surrounding this episode to grow her YouTube channel to around 30,000 followers. I guess there’s raising awareness and trying to help other people that might be in the situation by sharing her experience, but again it seems like a very strange situation for her to want to share with the world.
Hoping that she somehow manages to cure her son’s bizarre urges though, although I’m not even sure if that’s even possible. Thoughts and prayers for real.
