Pretty bizarre situation here as 35-year-old Middlesborough man Matthew Jenart was released from prison following a six-and-a-half year stint for grooming and abducting a 13-year-old girl.

As per the Metro, before being released, Matthew had actually asked prison authorities to keep him in prison because he admitted he wouldn’t be able to resist re-offending. 

Well they released him anyway and sure enough, 18 days later he arranged to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex in the train station toilets (or so he thought – he was actually chatting to members of undercover paedophile hunter groups Guardians of the North, Decoys UK, and Dark Justice).

Here’s how that turned out for him:

Imagine doing 6 years in prison for a string of paedophilic sex offences and then getting busted doing the same thing days after you’re finally free again. I mean this guy has no self-control whatsoever. To be fair to him, he already knew that and told the relevant authorities that he would re-offend, but for some crazy reason they couldn’t wait to put him back out on the streets. 

I guess the UK criminal justice system has a few things to ponder, but then again we already knew that considering you can get caught with a knife 21 TIMES before being jailed these days.
