Elon Musk has a fair few haters out there, but I think it’s fair to say that his beef with Pablo Escobar’s brother has pretty much come out of left field.

We wrote earlier this year about how the pair had been beefing with each other on Twitter about how Escobar’s brother Roberto – who once handled accounts for the Medellin cartel – was pissed off with Elon after one of his engineers allegedly stole Roberto’s flamethrower design, but we didn’t really expect it to go any further than that. Turns out it has though, with Roberto stating that he’s going to take Elon down as he prepares to sue him for $100 million over the design.

And Mr Escobar further revealed that he is branching out into music, managing a singer named Icy Narco, who next week will release a “hate song” about Mr Musk, entitled Pablo Escobar.

Asked whether Mr Musk and Pablo Escobar had anything in common – both being controversial businessmen with an eye for a new market – Mr Escobar reacted angrily.

I’m managing a new rapper called Icy Narcos who will release an Elon Musk diss track next week called Pablos Escobar and am also planning to destroy Apple with a new product, but I cannot tell you what it is.

I need around four years to make it bigger than Apple. Things move fast in technology. Within the next month we are going to launch our first product, I cannot tell you what it is, but it will be much better than anything Apple ever did.

Er OK? Kinda sounds like the guy has lost the plot here because I don’t think getting a rapper to write a diss track about Elon Musk or bizarrely claiming that you’re going to found a product that’s going to destroy Apple and be much better than anything they’ve ever done is going to get anyone to take you seriously, but I guess it’s something for us to lol at a bit. Until you remember he’s Pablo Escobar’s brother, so you immediately stop smirking and hope he never reads this.
