Every few years, Christopher Nolan pops up out of nowhere to remind us that cinema isn’t fully dead, and it sounds like he’s done it again with ‘Oppenheimer’ which is receiving top marks from every review that’s out there.
Check out the unanimous praise from these film critics on Twitter:
Sounds like a must-watch experience, even at 3 hours which seems far too long for any modern day movie audience. I was actually pretty underwhelmed with ‘Tenet’, which was Christopher Nolan’s last offering, but even that was better than most other films that have hit the big screen since then. Even his weakest movies feel big and important and made for cinema.
There doesn’t seem to be anything ‘weak’ about Oppenheimer though, but rather an instant classic that we’ll be talking about for years to come like The Dark Knight and Inception. When a movie can make 3 hours fly by, you know it’s something special. Can’t wait to check it out when it drops later in July.
P.S. Don’t forget Barbie drops on the same day. Another classic in the making?
