The Olympics may be over, but that doesn’t mean we’ve heard the last of the Olympians who made a name for themselves in Paris this summer. One of those being Alysha Newman – the Canadian who won a bronze medal in pole vaulting, and then celebrated by faking an injury and doing a twerk celebration that went viral:

Bronze with the pole vault, but a clear Gold with the celebration, as Newman has now revealed that her viral moment has resulted in 20,000 new subscribers (and counting) on OnlyFans. She is currently charging $7.79 for a subscription (she normally charges $12.99), meaning she’s grossed at least $155,800 from just her new wave of subscribers alone (OnlyFans creators keep 80% of revenues).
Newman also estimated that she’s up 200,000 followers on Instagram since the beginning of the Olympics, while her earnings from OnlyFans have helped cover the costs associated with being an elite athlete. What a winner!
And so, Alysha Newman has given an absolute masterclass on how to capitalise on your viral moment. Pole vaulting doesn’t exactly make you rich, but it just goes to show that even winning a bronze medal can catapault you into riches you never dreamed of, so long as you’ve got a sense of humour and the balls to twerk in front of millions of people during your celebration.
As for the losers and haters making fun of her for twerking and being on OnlyFans, Alysha has a clear message for them:
That’s how it’s done. Go Alysha Go! Go Alysha Go!
