There’s nothing like a snazzy pair of trousers to lift your mood is there? These particular doozies were found in China and date back 3,300 years. The trousers are made of animal fur and were found on the mummified remains of male shamans.

A quote from one of the researchers involved in the find:

They were almost the same shape as today’s trousers.

Well they weren’t going to have three leg holes were they? It’s thought that trousers were first invented to reduce the amount of chaffing you got when riding a horse. Sounds reasonable, we’re always taught at school about the dangers of riding bare back.
