You may have seen this video over the last few days. It originated on TikTok but also has about 20 million views on Twitter as well. The girl, Neeko, has caused quite a stir with this ultra cringey video where she is lip-syncing to a song about boomers.

Be warned – it’s serious cringe and chances are you are not going to like it one bit:
@neekolulLike to trigger the BOOMERS ##bernie2020♬ Okie dokie boomer – ixx_c00k13_xxi
Told you it was bad. In fact this clip annoyed so many people that Neeko has now been suspended from Twitter. Is being annoying against Twitter’s rules? No, and that’s what has everyone so baffled.
After all, the original singer of ‘Oki Doki Boomer’ says she had nothing to do with it:
No, I did not file the copyright claim against @neekolul .

Speculation was rife, but the most likely explanation was that a bunch of internet incels mass-reported her because they found out she has a boyfriend:

Simp Twitter is so POWERFUL. She lost more than half her followers as soon as they found out she had a man AND she got suspended 😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/qT7YLzuB3R

According to Urban Dictionary, a ‘Simp’ is a “a man that puts himself in a subservient/submissive position under women in hopes of winning them over, without the female bringing anything to the table.” Well no wonder the simps and incels were so angry with her because she once put out a video giving them false hope:

Yikes. I don’t know when it happened, but I am officially old.
Update: It looks like Neeko AKA Boomer girl’s Twitter account is back, and no doubt the haters will be too.

For the uni professor who told his class that saying ‘OK Boomer’ is as bad as saying the N-word, click HERE. He actually said the N-word in class to illustrate his point.
