The O. J. Simpson trial is seen as one of the biggest miscarriage’s of justice in history, as pretty much everyone with an opinion thinks that he’s guilty even though the jury eventually acquitted him of the murder of his wife back in 1995.

Thank to the recent TV series documenting these events, the case is back in the spotlight and it turns out that O. J. might actually be ready to confess to the murder of his wife Nicole some 20 years after the event. At least that’s according to his friend Ron Shipp, a former police officer who was talking to the New York Daily News:
The guy is in total torment today. Someone told me he is 300 pounds and he looks horrible.
O.J. has always felt his appearance meant everything and now, deep down inside, he is starting to live with himself.
He could be released as soon as next year (O.J. is currently in prison for a 2007 armed robbery of a Las Vegas sports memorabilia dealer) and when he’s out I believe that he’ll confess.
I hope one day he actually will rid us of all the doubt and all the conspiracy theories and say ‘sorry I cannot go to prison [because of double jeopardy laws], but I am sorry I did it’.
I didn’t really see him at the time doing that because of my love for him. I didn’t want to believe the things I saw but my mixed feelings that surrounded the trial then have now disappeared.

Hmmm. Well I’m not really sure how reliable this guy Ron Shipp is but he seems certain that O. J. actually did it, although that’s an opinion shared with 99% of the modern world. It doesn’t even sound like he’s seen or spoken to O. J. recently either as he doesn’t know what he looks like so I’m not sure where he’s got the idea that he might confess to Nicole’s murder from, but hey I suppose he’s got a better idea than me or you.
Personally, I can’t see O. J. ever confessing considering how much trouble he went through to get out of it the first time and all the shit it would bring him, but hey I don’t know him at all or the demons he’s facing either do I? I suppose it might be more realistic than the rumour that he wants to date Caitlyn Jenner when he gets out of the slammer.
