Oil Man is a short documentary from Meet Me Here which presents the life of Jim Rodgers, who describes himself as an old school pimp in the oil business. He makes his money renting equipment for oil fields and made his first million by the time he was 25, although he was broke by the time he was 40. That’s just the way it goes.
The 5 minute documentary follows Jim on his everyday life in the shop, and also gains some insight into how his life has gone so far – his education at the university of hard knocks, his love of antique cars and his love of women and hard work and exists as a fascinating character study of an old school individual keeping it real in the modern age.
