43 year old Benito Flores was hit by a massive wave and sucked out into the ocean in the middle of his baptism in California last Sunday. His body has yet to show up despite emergency crews and helicopters searching the waters.
It’s fair to assume that Benito isn’t coming back from this one, which begs the question: what kind of God would do this? A self-deprecating one? One with an awesome sense of humour?
Or is it just a bad idea getting baptised out in the ocean? Could have kept it simple with a good old fashioned church service but for some reason decided to go all out. Goes without saying that if any of you are thinking of getting baptised keep away from anything that could result in your massively ironic death. Ocean baptisms are a definite no-no from the looks of things.
