According to members of York’s myriad cults he kept a tight reign on the sexuality in his followers. Men and women were kept in separate dorms and even husbands and wives were only allowed intimate contact once every three months, in a special area called the “green room” and they had to book a slot in advance.
York, on the other hand, didn’t have quite the same restrictions. His relative sexual freedom was excused because, according to York, the Pharaohs were allowed to take whoever they liked for sex and as such had a different set of morals. How convenient.
This freedom he gave himself was to get him into trouble. In 2002 York was arrested and charged with over one hundred counts of sexually molesting dozens of children. According to Bill Osinski, who wrote a 2007 monograph about the case: “When he was finally indicted, state prosecutors literally had to cut back the number of counts listed – from well beyond a thousand to slightly more than 200 – because they feared a jury simply wouldn’t believe the magnitude of York’s evil”.
It was by far the largest list of child molestation charges aimed at a single person to have reached a court of law anywhere in the world.
His charges included 74 counts of child molestation, 29 counts of aggravated child molestation, one count of rape, four counts of statutory rape, five counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes, two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of influencing a witness.
He was convicted of multiple RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) charges, child molestation, and financial reporting charges and was sentenced to 135 years in prison. His case was appealed, but the convictions were upheld on October 27, 2005. A U.S. Supreme Court appeal was denied in June 2006.
York is still trying to wriggle out of the cack-storm he’s produced but he’s having no joy. How can you even begin to try and back pedal out of 135 years in jail? His followers are saying that York’s son is the one who should be charged and that he’s set his father up. Others say there is some kind of al Qaeda-linked Islamic jealousy of York’s influence among black Muslims which led to his fit up.
Here’s an excerpt from a letter York wrote in prison which demonstrates either his madness or his manipulation, or both:
“On August 12, 2004, just days before court, 3 visitors came to me, Crlll, Alomar, and Saad, they healed me. They came from Zeta Reticuli. I had not seen them since I was a child in Teaneck, New Jersey. They don’t age at all. Anyway, they told me the game is almost over. Those that truly love you are coming together for you. They are passing the Great Test. I asked them why I could not just walk out? They said, “Because there is an order to the Kosmos that must never be altered” … Many inmates have seen me float. That is why they keep moving me away. It is because people Canaanites as well are converting inside”.
Dwight York is serving his sentence in Florence, Colorado. His projected release date is December 15, 2119 at the age of (at least) 174.
