In the late 80’s the people of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia prepared to hold hands and watch the Soviet bloc fall; North Korea saw that change was afoot. The man in charge of the DPRK decided that he might have to wade into these post-communist shenanigans.
On the next couple of slides are some images from a pretty darned jazzy brochure that North Korea brought out in 1991. The brochure was titled A Sight Seeing Guide To Korea (they missed out the fact that there was a split between North and South and only mentioned destinations in the North), and it’s fascinating.
