If you didn’t know, Lamar Odom is a basketball player who had a lot of success in the NBA and who also became famous for dating Khloe Kardashian. More recently, he developed a drugs/drink/sex addiction that resulted in him going into a coma and suffering 12 strokes and 6 heart attacks. He’s 40 years old.

You’d think his friends would now want to keep him away from booze and narcotics, but he went on a podcast with rapper Noreaga AKA N.O.R.E. (remember him?) the other day and they got him absolutely blasted to the point that the guy can’t really string a sentence together.

It culminated in some of the most awkward moments in podcast history, as Odom got paranoid and thought Noreaga was making fun of him.

N.O.R.E. discussed the incident with Page Six afterwards:

I kept bringing up the fact that he has a ring, but I did not know that he actually lost his rings. So in retrospect he might’ve thought I was joking or making fun of him. So, he basically lost his rings, which he thought was public knowledge, but I didn’t know. He thought that I was clowning him so he was upset with that. And I made it known that I wasn’t aware.

I skimmed through the rest of the interview and the whole thing is really weird and sad and it’s obvious that Lamar Odom still has a ton of issues he needs to work through. The good thing is he seems like he wants to work through them, though I’m not sure a former addict going on a podcast where his so-called friends are getting him drunk and trying to get stories out of him is the best way of doing that. Questions about Khloe Kardashian seemed to wind him up as well.
