We’ve been pretty excited here at Sick Chirpse for Streets Of Rage 4 ever since we saw the first trailer a year or so ago and all the memories of the golden age of sideways scrolling beat em ups came flooding back to us, only repackaged with a 2019 vibe.

We still don’t know when they game is coming out, but more and more tidbits are being dropped that suggests it will probably be out in time for Christmas this year. The latest trailer reveals that it will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch, and centres around the new character Cherry Hunter, the daughter of one of the protagonists of the original Streets Of Rage Game Adam Hunter.
Cherry didn’t choose to follow in her father’s footsteps and instead decided to play guitar in an electro rock band, but unfortunately something made her to return to the streets and start beating people up with her trusty guitar in her hand. Kind of character I can get behind to be honest:
I mean Cherry Hunter does look like a complete badass doesn’t she? Can’t wait for this to come out and to play out – it’ll be interesting to see how much it costs because I can’t see it going on for 20 hours like most PS4 games so surely the price point will affect that? Here’s hoping.
For more of the same, check out the first gameplay trailer from earlier this year. Gonna be sweet.
