1. The National Video Game Arcade, Nottingham
Opening in March is “the world’s first cultural centre for gaming”, where a five floor building in Nottingham’s Creative Quarter will transform into a hub for video game culture aimed at “inspiring and developing the game-makers of tomorrow.”
Quarterly exhibitions will feature new and specially-commissioned works educating and showing off both game-making practice and player experience. There’ll be games new and old from all around the world available to play – the perfect place to try before you buy and meet other gamers.
Just don’t get too comfy in there and end up missing all the other immense new attractions 2015 has on offer. Or, you know, you could always go to Pyongyang?
