It was probably only a matter of time until some more pictures of Boris Johnson breaking Covid laws by partying at Downing Street during lockdown emerged and with Sue Gray poised to finally release her report this week, someone decided that that time was now.

The following photographs were leaked to ITV earlier today and show Johnson raising a glass of champagne to toast the departing civil servant Lee Cain at his leaving party on November 13th 2020. He appears to be making a speech and on the table next to are two bottles of champagne, four bottles of wine and half a bottle of gin.

At the time, parties with people outside of your household were banned. The images also feature party cups, biscuits, crisps and other food, clearly leaving no doubt that this was in fact a party.

Yeah, I don’t really think Boris can actually weasel himself out of this one, although I’m sure he’ll come up with some stupid excuse that doesn’t make any sense like he has every other time some incriminating photograph has found its way onto the internet. I doubt he’ll resign either because if he hasn’t already, I don’t see this as being the straw that broke the camel’s back. Maybe I’l be surprised though? We can but hope.
