Canadian singer and dancer Tate McRae seems to be the next big thing in the pop world, and judging by the sort of things she puts up on Instagram (coming up below), the girl sure knows how to market herself. Who needs great vocals when you can show some T&A and have everyone tune into your new music video that way, right?
Here’s a look the music video for Tate McRae’s new single ‘It’s OK I’m OK’, which features her prancing around NYC in some bold outfits, even going fully nude (pixelated) at one point:
Jeez! Not even Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera took it that far in their 2000s heydays, but I guess you’ve got to push the envelope (read: take more clothes off) if you really want to stand out in this day and age. Getting arrested while fully naked in the middle of NYC? Not a crackhead having a schizophrenic episode, but an actual living and breathing pop star!
Well anyway, Tate McRae seems to have come out of nowhere and really grabbed people’s attention, so fair play to her on that. Her songs and music videos are doing serious numbers worldwide.
