Chelsea have had one hell of a transfer window with the highlight undeniably being pipping rivals Arsenal to the signing of Ukrainian wonderkid Mykhailo Mudryk – even if they had to pay through the nose for the privilege.

Mudryk has been restricted to one cameo off the bench against Liverpool so far since signing for the club where he was able to highlight some of his speed and skill, but sadly he’s now having to deal with accusations of racism after a video of him went viral on TikTok. The clip shows him standing in front of a car rapping along to Lil Baby’s song ‘Freestyle’, which sadly sees him use the N word a couple of times.
You can watch the clip below and see Mudryk/Chelsea’s response underneath that too:

Mykhailo is deeply sorry for any offence caused by the video.
His intention was to solely recite the lyrics of a song.
Mykhailo regrets his decision and wholeheartedly accepts it’s not appropriate.
Yeah, I know people get upset about this stuff and argue that white people shouldn’t be saying that word even if it is in a massively popular song, but isn’t it problematic for Lil Baby to make this song in the first place if that word is so bad, especially when he knows millions of white people are going to listen to it and be singing along? Seems dumb to say that a certain set of people are banned from singing along to a massively popular song because of their race and seems dumb that people get so angry about it too. Maybe I’m wrong though? I’m giving Mudryk a pass on this one though.
For more of the same, check out when a teenager got called out over the same thing as well. Again, seems a bit naive.
