There’s loads to look forward to at the cinema this year, but how about all the new releases being geared up for Netflix in 2020?

The Netflix Twitter account has got us covered on that front as they just released a whole list of 29 original movies coming in 2020 (so far) alongside the main cast members and plot synopses of each film.
Some of these sound pretty damn good:
THE OLD GUARD: From director Gina Prince-Bythewood, Charlize Theron and Kiki Layne lead a covert group of immortal mercenaries who must fight to keep their team together when they discover the existence of a new immortal and their extraordinary abilities are exposed.

Not too shabby eh? Of course these are only the original films that Netflix has confirmed for 2020 and so there’s certainly more on the way, not to mention all the new series/seasons we have to look forward to in 2020 like Top Boy 2, Better Call Saul season 5 and the gnarly haunted house series they’ve promised.
Looks like another year where Netflix is going to kick the cinema’s ass in terms of quality content. Personally I’m most hyped about the film starring Jesse Plemons. Everything that dude touches turns to gold.
