How many times have you been working at the office and you’re flagging slightly just wanted to take a quick power nap to refresh you and get you back on track? Probably more than a few, am I right?

Well, your dreams (lol) might have been answered with the invention of this new desk from studio NL in Greece. They’ve managed to design a desk with a sweetass bed underneath if for when you want to catch 40 winks. Here’s what they had to say about it:

The main concept was to comment on the fact that many times our lives are ‘shrinking’ in order to fit into the confined space of our office.

This desk could be used for a siesta or for a few hours of sleep at night on those days when someone struggles to meet deadlines.

Yeah, I’m not so sure about that last bit about sleeping in the office and not going home when you’re struggling to make deadlines – that doesn’t sound good at all. Taking a nap in an enclosed environment like that I’m all for though. It kind of seems like a double edged sword with that extra proviso in it, so maybe it isn’t such a good idea after all.

Fortunately, we won’t be forced to deal with that possibility any time soon because it’s only a prototype and doesn’t look to be heading to market any time soon. Still, it probably isn’t going to be too long until these are picked up by someone and rolled out into all offices as standard – it’s just going to depend on your employer if it’s utilised in a good or bad way for us grunts.

Another bonus of it would be that you probably wouldn’t get caught having an affair with your co-worker and shagging in the office by people across the street, like these two did a couple of years ago.
