Halloumi is undoubtedly one of the best additions to your chicken when you rock up at Nando’s and it’s kind of surprising that the famous restaurant chain hasn’t yet tried to incorporate the cheese into its own dish.

The wait is finally over though and it looks as though it has been worth the wait with the introduction of Nando’s halloumi fries onto the menu from tomorrow. The starter comes with five sticks of golden grilled halloumi alongside some rather excellent sounding chili jam for dipping. Sounds absolutely delicious.

Alongside this dish, Nando’s is also launching another awesome sounding main course which you can see above and is a little different to its usual fare. The Veggie Cataplana is a stew style dish which has its origins in both Portugal and South Africa and consists of chargrilled veg, chickpeas and beans, in a fiery rich tomato and coconut sauce. This is all served on a bed of spicy rice and sprinkled with toasted coconut shavings.
Bound to be absolutely delicious as well, the Veggie Cataplan will also be available on the menu from tomorrow. Best book a table and head down.
