Apparently former masters of the nu metal scene Limp Bizkit have now signed to Lil Wayne’s Cash Money Records. Obviously this is because Lil Wayne loves guitars, not because that was the only offer out there after the latest album Gold Cobra sold appallingly, being pretty much the last nail in the Bizkit’s coffin. Did you actually know Gold Cobra was released in 2011? No, neither did I. Do you really care? No, neither do I.
What does this mean for the Bizkit though? Are they going to have a name change to Lil Bizkit or Limp Minaj? Are they going to form a sweary-nu-metal-hip-hop-rhythm and blues power group with Kevin Rudolf? Whatever they do, I hope they don’t try and bring nu metal back, because that will tempt me to start wearing Bronx Zoo t-shirts and baggy jeans with chains hanging down from the pocket. I’m too old to go to work on a skate board as well.
