Morrissey Has Described Brexit As ‘Magnificent’

Many people might think that Morrissey is one of the greatest musicians of all time, but I dare say that a fair few of those probably think that he’s one of the biggest pricks of all times too, and once again he’s decided to come out with another statement that’s literally designed to wind people up and make them think he’s a dickhead.

The man himself has already had a few things to say about the recent Brexit vote, stating that Nigel Farage was a ‘liberal educator’ (whatever that means) and claiming that Leave voters had been victimised since the vote, but he decided to make his views on the subject completely unambiguous in an interview with Australia’s FasterLouder. He also said some stuff about Donald Trump too. Cool:

Since the vote, the British political class has never quite been so hopeless, but the same can be said for the USA. What has happened is that news media can no longer attach any nobility to old-style politics because although politicians do not and cannot change, the people the world over have changed. What could be more grotesquely stupid than the Clinton-Trump coverage?

As for Brexit, the result was magnificent, but it is not accepted by the BBC or Sky News because they object to a public that cannot be hypnotised by BBC or Sky nonsense. These news teams are exactly the same as Fox and CNN in that they all depend on public stupidity in order to create their own myth of reality. Watch them at your peril!

Yeah, it’s really magnificent to see hopeless politicians in control of the country, alongside rising prices and increasing uncertainty in pretty much every aspect of life. Glad you’re enjoying it pal.

Whilst I concede he has a point about the mass media at Sky and the BBC, it’s pretty much common knowledge that there’s no such thing as an impartial media and everyone is going to be pushing some agenda of some sort so it’s not really that important a statement. It’s basically just designed to make him look like a twat, and once again he’s succeeded.
