A couple years back we collected a bunch of stories of Tim Westwood creeping on 18-year-old girls at university campuses, and then again when more stories started doing the rounds. Well turns out the BBC & Guardian have been conducting a long-term investigation into Westwood’s sexual misconduct ever since, with Tim Westwood: Abuse of Power airing on BBC Three at 9PM tonight.

The documentary features three women who have accused the DJ of predatory sexual behaviour, and four others who say he groped them at events. They were all in their late teens or early 20s when the incidents occurred. The earliest alleged incident took place in 1992; the most recent in 2017. The victims were all black and do not know each other.

Here’s a couple stories from their article:

You can read the full thing HERE, or check out the documentary on iPlayer or on BBC Three tonight. For what it’s worth, Tim Westwood has ‘strongly denied’ the allegations, with a representative telling AP News earlier:

“Tim Westwood strongly denies all allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

In a career that has spanned 40 years, there have never been any complaints made against him officially or unofficially.”

Never any complaints… until now? Or rather two years ago when these stories began circulating on Twitter:

I’m not sure what kind of trouble Westwood could land in following the latest revelations by the BBC & Guardian, which are examples of sexual assault/misconduct rather than the creepy but technically legal behaviours shared on Twitter. Obviously it’s important to remember these are all allegations at this point, but when there’s this many victims coming out and saying the same thing, you can’t say it’s looking good for The Big Dawg.

For the time Westwood accidentally shared his credit card details on Snapchat (while trying to show off to some girl he was taking on a date), click HERE.
