I know Chelsea players (and fans) have a reputation for being a bit racist, but it’s still shocking to see one of the club’s female stars call a police officer “f***ing stupid and white”, after vomiting inside a taxi and smashing the taxi window:
Chelsea women football player Sam kerr called a Met Police officer fxxking stupid and white’ after she had vomited in a taxi and smashed its window, a court heard yesterday.

To add some context: Sam Kerr and her girlfriend, fellow footballer Kristie Mewis, were in a taxi after a night out when Kerr refused to pay clean-up costs after one of them puked in the back seat. Following an argument, Kerr smashed the rear window of the taxi. The taxi driver drove them straight to Twickenham police station, and it kicked off even further from there. Eventually, Kerr was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and racially aggravated public order.
Currently sidelined from Chelsea with an ACL injury, Sam Kerr has scored 99 goals in 128 matches since joining Chelsea in 2019, which is pretty damn impressive. Just a shame that she’s a bit of a bell end in real life, judging by her behaviour in the taxi and at the police station afterwards.
Even disregarding the racist comments, Kerr doesn’t do herself any favours in the way she behaved. All she needed to do was pay the taxi driver the soiling charge (about £75) and he’d have dropped her off home, and all this drama would have been avoided. Instead she smashes the car up, argues with the police, and completely destroys her reputation in the process. Not ideal.
